Beginning to think about internship opportunities for Summer 2022 or post-degree roles? Join us for our Early Careers week in January 2022. Learn how to position yourself for internship and new grad roles and connect with companies recruiting for data and ML roles.

Connect with RBC and Borealis AI on internship and new graduate roles in areas such as Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Fairness, Optimization and NLP at this dedicated information session. Learn about key AI projects, organizational culture and more. Network with RBC/Borealis AI representatives via live audio and video and make meaningful connections with both ML teams and recruiters.

 

Friday, January 14, 2022 – Research and Careers in AI: Spotlight on Early Careers

Vector will be hosting numerous organizations across sectors such as financial services, consulting, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing and more for the next installment of our Research and Careers in AI series, spotlighting early career roles. The event will feature a panel session on early career roles, including practical tips for Vector applicants to stand out in the application and interview process for early career roles.

After the panel, network 1-on-1 via Glimpse with companies actively hiring for internships, co-ops and/or full-time new graduate roles. Internships and co-ops would be targeting start dates in Spring 2022, whereas new graduate role start dates would be Spring or Fall 2022. These roles are aimed primarily at individuals with little to no working experience. The Glimpse platform enables resume sharing and the exchanging of social profiles such as LinkedIn, in order for you to maximize your connections.

Yannick Lallement is the Vice President, Global Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning at Scotiabank, where he works on developing the use of AI/ML technologies throughout the Bank. Yannick holds a PhD in artificial intelligence from the French National Institute of Computer Science. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Yannick worked on a series of AI/ML projects for different companies – most recently he developed a Netflix-style recommender system for TFO, the French educational TV channel.
