This workshop will showcase how research using the GEMINI dataset can be translated into widespread benefits for patients and the health system.

As you may recall, GEMINI is Canada’s largest database of deidentified medical admissions data that has been curated for AI and ML research. It includes over 1.6 million patient admissions from over 30 hospitals across Ontario, with more than 2 billion data points – and growing! GEMINI in a rich health data resource that is available to Vector researchers and has been optimized for their work.

The workshop will include presentations by GEMINI Co-Leads Drs. Amol Verma & Fahad Razak, GEMINI Manager of Data Operations Kieran Shah, Vector Graduate Student Bret Nestor, as well as roundtable discussions led by Vector Faculty, Affiliates, and their students aimed at highlighting how GEMINI initiatives in big data analytics and AI can support clinical care improvement.

This is an invitation only event that will include GEMINI researchers and scientists, Vector Faculty, Affiliate Faculty, students, and the Health Team staff.
