What you will do:
As a Big Data Specialist:
- Big data architecture design, implementation, optimization
- Support data pipelines, data mining/science algorithms, visualization engineering
- Experience with object oriented design, coding, testing patterns as well as experience in engineering (commercial and open source) software platforms and large-scale data infrastructure.
- Familiar with different architecture patterns of development
- Ability to architect highly scalable distributed systems
- Understand how algorithms work and have experience building high-performance algorithms
As a Developer:
- Big data architecture design, implementation, optimization
- Design problems, build solutions and deliver end-to-end services that provide business insights
- Experts in cloud/on-prem/hybrid hosting solutions and full stack development
What you bring to the role:
As a Big Data Specialist:
- Strong experience with large scale and/or distributed processing methodologies such as Hadoop, Storm, Spark, etc.
- Sophisticated ability to rapidly ingest, transform and mind data
- Ability to evaluate, design, test and manage ‘big data architectures’
- Familiarity with programming methodologies such as version control, testing, QA, and development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
As a Developer:
- Strong experience developing applications and programs using existing frameworks and tools
- Familiarity with development frameworks such as .NET, Linux/UNIX, Web/Front-End/Back-End and Mobile
- Ability to develop a variety of user oriented applications to delivery content in intuitive and innovative ways, through desktop, mobile apps and web interfaces
- Familiarity with programming methodologies such as version control, texting, QA, and development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
Keys to your success:
- Ability to apply data and analytics concepts to business problems
- Ability to explain data and analytics concepts to non-technical team members
- Strong knowledge in distributed computing architecture, massive-parallel processing big data platforms (Such as Hadoop, MapReduce, HDFS, Spark, Hive/Impala, H-Base/MongoDB/Casandra, Teradata/Netezza/Redshift)
