Roxana Sultan leads Vector Institute’s data strategy, technology platforms, and health partnerships as Chief Data Officer and Vice President, Health. Her leadership advances initiatives modernizing data governance and stewardship, as well as fostering AI adoption across health and life sciences sectors.
With over 20 years of health sector leadership, Roxana has led transformative initiatives across leading Canadian institutions, including the University Health Network, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Cancer Care Ontario (now Ontario Health), and the Hospital for Sick Children.
Roxana holds a Master of Health Science from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, where she also completed graduate studies in Molecular and Medical Genetics. Additionally, Roxana holds an adjunct professor appointment with the University of Toronto in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, where she teaches at the graduate level on the topics of intelligent medicine and machine learning.
