Ashish Khisti is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Toronto. He is presently also a visiting researcher at Qualcomm. He received his BASc from the Engineering Science program from University of Toronto and his MASc and PhD degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current research interests include applications of information theory to deep learning, distributed learning and foundation models.
