Kate Larson is a Professor at the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, as well as a Research Scientist at Google DeepMind. Her research addresses foundational algorithmic challenges in artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems, with a focus on computational social choice, algorithmic game theory, preference modeling, and cooperative AI.
An AAAI Fellow, Kate has received multiple best paper awards at leading venues, including AAMAS and ACM CSCW. Committed to fostering community, she has served in numerous leadership roles, including as General Chair for AAMAS and Program Chair for IJCAI.
