Federico Mora is an Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo. Federico received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2025 and then spent a year working at Amazon Web Services as an Applied Scientist. His core research mission is to make formal verification of real-world systems practical at an industrial scale. In pursuit of this goal, Federico builds domain-specific neuro-symbolic tools that combine the flexibility and power of AI with the rigorous guarantees of formal methods.
