Shi-ang Qi

Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow, Vector Institute

Shi-ang is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Vector Institute and the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, University of Toronto, supervised by Dr. Rahul G. Krishnan. He received his PhD from the University of Alberta, in collaboration with Amii, under the supervision of Dr. Russell Greiner, and interned at Microsoft Research during his PhD. His research lies at the intersection of statistical machine learning and biomedical AI, focusing on reliable and clinically meaningful prediction. His recent work spans survival analysis, Bayesian learning, dependent censoring, cancer risk modeling, multimodal biomedical learning, and representation learning for heterogeneous immune responses.
