Xiaodan Zhu is an Associate Professor and Mitchell Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Ingenuity Labs Research Institute at Queen’s University. His research interests are in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning. Xiaodan is an Associate Editor for the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing. In the past, he has served for ACL-2019 and COLING-2020 Best Paper Selection Committee and other senior roles for the NLP community. He was a Co-chair of SemEval 2020/2021 and a Co-chair of the Canadian Conference on AI in 2021. He is a recipient of the JP Morgan 2023 Faculty Research Award and NEC Labs America’s 2022 Faculty Research Award. He has also received the NSERC DAS and the New Frontier Research Funds.
