What level of technical proficiency is required for your workshops and education events?

It really depends on the event. They range from introductory to advanced. We offer several introductory courses to individuals who are new to machine learning e.g, Excel to AI. On the other end of the spectrum, our Accelerated AI Workshops, on topics such as Forecasting, require advanced Python programming experience. The event page will always specify the prerequisite knowledge required.

Do you offer industry specific courses?

We regularly offer high level Intro to AI seminars that are industry focused and open to the public. Some examples of industries featured in the past include, manufacturing, healthcare, supply chain, logistics and finance. These seminars are approximately one to one and a half hours in length. Please check our events calendar for upcoming dates.

Does Vector offer courses in soft business skills (e.g. communication, leadership and teambuilding)?

We do not currently offer workshops that are geared toward soft business skills development. Vector’s education offerings are focused on supporting professionals to develop and grow in their knowledge and application of AI.

In terms of business in-demand skills, we offer a 3-day workshop in Project Management for AI practitioners designed to build practical skills for managing AI projects.

Does Vector offer certificates?

All participants who successfully complete a workshop will receive a certificate of completion. These workshops are typically three days in length.

Certificate courses are offered to sponsors and partners on a requested basis. They are tailored to the needs of the client and include relevant case studies. Workshop topics may include machine learning, reinforcement learning and deep learning. The learnings in each workshop sets the groundwork for a final capstone assignment where participants may apply their knowledge to solve an AI business challenge or improve a business process.
