Florian Shkurti is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he directs the Robot Vision and Learning Lab. He is a Faculty Member of the University of Toronto Robotics Institute, and a Faculty Affiliate of the Vector Institute. His research spans robotics, machine learning, and computer vision, with a particular focus on sequential decision-making problems and safety. He is the recipient of the Alexander Graham Bell Doctoral Award, the AAAI Robotics Fellowship, the Amazon Research Award in Robotics, and the Connaught New Researcher Award.
