Rob is a postdoctoral fellow at the Vector Institute working on generative modeling, variational inference, and MCMC using tools from optimal transport, convex duality, and information geometry. He received his PhD from the University of Southern California advised by Greg Ver Steeg and Aram Galstyan, did an internship at DeepMind working on technical AI safety, and formerly worked as a stock options trader.
